Iron Lung is a independent movie, self funded and self published by Markiplier and god damn this is a pretty good movie.
Writing this, I just watched the movie and I am amazed by just how good this film was to watch. The 2 hour runtime of the movie is big of a stretch but if you like slow burn movies then this is a good one to watch.
First off is the acting, Markiplier does a amazing job of acting in this movie. The way his voice changes depending on his mental state and what he is experiencing is very impactful but I did see a problem when he was idle. He would sound flat during those scenes but apart from that, his role and acting had a good impact on the scenes and the whole movie.
Cinematography is honestly nice. It was very smooth and very nice to keep the visuals into your attention as you sat in the theatre. Since the pacing of this movie is slow, it could get a little boring but I did keep this relaxing attention that made me pay attention nicely.
Aside from the positives of this film, there are two problems I did have. Mostly it is the brightness. There was a lot of times I couldn't see shit. It was very dark in a lot of scenes. While the Cinematography kept my attention, it was kinda lost when a lot of the time it was just darkness. Last negative is the pacing, while this is a more of a thriller, it did get annoying just sitting there waiting for the good parts of the movie. But I would say it was all worth it! 2 hours was much tho.
This is a nice movie, Markiplier has a amazing chance of being a director and this being his debut film is a achievement from being a youtuber.
A solid 7.8 out of 10!!
