I love video games. So much. I love RPGs, fps, metroidvanias, and games
that can follow a good story and a lot of playablity.
Games like Half-Life, Dead Cells, Team Fortress 2, Persona 4 golden,
Stardew Valley, and Shin Megami Tensei 3 :D
Borderlands series are also a favorite. Big old world with cool enviorments with
a steampunk like aesthetic.
Yume Nikki is a beautiful game. I wanna make a game like it.
A story vague and a world/place to explore.
Yume Nikki makes me find out that games now don’t have room for you to explore yourself.
Constantly going through without freedom makes the game feel limiting. You should explore. Its a world to be explored.
It doesn’t have to be a open world game to be very explorable. Its a world that has purpose.
Indie game devs have so much more possiblities to entertain a player because nowadays, developers aren’t gamers.
Indies devs are players knowing what they want. It gives it a better connection to the player.
If you know what people want from being a gamer yourself. You can give it to them. Stuff like Half-Life, Dead Cells, and many other games.
They are made by people who love games. Nowadays, it doesn’t seem like alot of Tripe A game devs even like them.
Its just about the representation to get more people to hop on and make more money. Where’s the love. Where’s the passion.
