Layer III - Goals for myself this year

So I decided to actually lock in into my goals. I’m gonna try out more technical shit with programming.
I always loved GoldSrc games like Half Life so I wanna try to put my hands in making my own GoldSrc mod.
I have no big ideas but I wanna make something unique.
I was thinking of doing some kind of hack n slash fps game.
Basically just like the newer Doom but I’m not entirely sure what I actually wanna do.
All I know is I’m gonna try to play around with the GoldSrc engine
(btw I’m using the Half Life updated codebase for my project.)
Hopefully I can learn something nice.
